At Reveille Advisors, we champion privacy from Big Tech, such as Google. In fact, we dislike Google greatly. As experienced SEOs, we also appreciate the data we can learn from online traffic. That said, our clients (and prospective clients) come first so we’ve decided to use Plausible Analytics for all traffic to our site. Plausible Analytics is a privacy-friendly open-source paid alternative to Google Analytics’ free platform. As the saying goes, if it’s free, you’re the product.
We do not track people across their devices and across websites and apps that they visit. All data is isolated to a single day, a single website, and a single device only. There is no way to know whether the same person visits our site from more than one device or visits another website.
Plausible tracks overall trends in our website traffic, it does not track individual visitors. We don’t use cookies, we don’t generate any persistent identifiers and we don’t collect or store any personal or identifiable data. All of the data is aggregated data only and it has no personal information.

Plausible is a small team based in the EU. The legal entity is incorporated in Estonia.
All of the data that is collected is kept fully secured, encrypted, and hosted on a 100% renewable energy-powered server in Falkenstein, Germany. The server is owned by Hetzner, a European company. This ensures that all of the website data is covered by the European Union’s strict laws on data privacy.
Plausible also uses Bunny (another European-owned provider from Slovenia) for global CDN and DDoS protection. This ensures that all visitor data collected is exclusively processed with servers owned and operated by European companies.
For encryption, they use HTTPS in transit and the hashing process at rest. They also do regular backups. The backups are also stored in the EU, in a redundant site.
No third-party vendors are involved other than the hosting company that owns the servers where the data is stored.
Lastly, we don’t have to worry about Schrems II and that it invalidates the EU-US Privacy Shield. This website data never leaves the EU, hence why you don’t see privacy and cookie alerts upon visiting our site.
By using Plausible, we don’t need to have any GDPR, CCPA, or PECR prompts and we do not need a complex privacy policy about our use of analytics and cookies. With Plausible, we are not tracking any personal data, so visitors can enjoy their time on ReveilleAdvisors.com without any annoyances and distractions. Pretty cool, right?
We have not placed any backdoors into our software and have not received any requests to do so. We have also never received a National Security Letter, FISA order, or any other classified request for user information.
Our website may contain outbound links to other websites for further reading or reference points. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that website on your internet browser. If you use our “Schedule a Call” option on our website your information will be shared with a third-party scheduling app, Calendly (https://calendly.com/). This is a well-known and used call-scheduling app but we do not control how your information is used on their end. What we can tell you is that we will never email, call, or text you aside from replying to your initial request. No email marketing, newsletters, or other correspondence will ever occur unless you’re a client. We also won’t share or monetize the contact information you provided us for our first meeting.
If you email us via our basic email address (ie: team at domain dot com) that will be part of Google’s Gmail service (https://mail.google.com/mail/). While we do have a paid account that has all the available security options it will still be routed through Google. If you are not comfortable trusting Google (we don’t blame you) you can connect with us through one of our secure options that are available. To be fully encrypted end-to-end or to remain anonymous, both parties need to utilize the service. Those include, but are not limited to: ProtonMail, Threema, MySudo, Telegram, Kik, LINE, Tutanota, and more.
In short, we advocate for privacy so it would be quite duplicitous of us to violate your privacy as a site visitor, prospective client, or current client.
