Earned Media & SEO

In addition to securing favorable coverage for our clients, we have an additional goal of improving your online visibility (ie: rankings on Google). For that, we focus on an important component of search engine optimization (SEO) – backlinks.

Backlinks occur when a website links to another website from their article’s content. An example of a backlink can be seen in the previous paragraph. However, instead of linking to our website, it would link to another that we recommended. Google views backlinks, loosely, as one website vouching for the other and suggesting to readers it’s safe to visit. 

When journalists need expert insight for an article or current event, they often seek authoritative figures (such as our clients), for comment. Many outlets will provide a backlink to a source’s preferred website as a form of professional attribution. We target working with these outlets because it not only achieves your PR objectives, but also gives you those hard to obtain backlinks for better rankings!
